Beyond the Room—Experiences that Stay with You
Rajasthan has never been a place you simply pass through—and this palace understands that better than most. Walk through the palace grounds and let centuries of history speak for themselves. Step into a Rajasthani village, try your hand at pottery or jaggery making, and watch a way of life that has changed very little over the years. Take to the Aravalli Hills on a jeep safari, cycle to the shores of Lake Ranelav Sagar, or ride through Gogunda in one of the palace's vintage cars at a pace the town deserves. Follow the hidden caves of Myrah ki Gufa to where Maharana Pratap once planned his campaigns, or stand at the site of his public coronation and let that sink in quietly. As the day softens, high tea in the Champa Garden, sundowners on the Aravalli Chhatri, and a private dinner under the stars in the Neem Garden wait their turn. Each one is a different way of knowing this place—each one among the palace experiences in Gogunda that no itinerary could have planned better.

Heritage Walk
Our palace has more stories than any guidebook could hold—and some of them only reveal themselves when you walk through the right doorway. This guided walk traces the history, architecture, and hidden details of Gogunda Palace, from the grand Hathi Pol gates to the carved jharokas and original murals that have survived centuries without apology. For those who want to understand the place they are staying in, this is where that understanding begins.
Village Walk
A short walk from the palace walls, a different kind of Rajasthan unfolds. This is the Rajasthan of daily rhythms, unhurried mornings, and trades passed down through generations. Visit a quintessential village, watch life as it has always been lived here, and—depending on the season—try your hand at jaggery making, one of the oldest rural traditions in the region. The kind of experience that stays with you long after the palace has faded into the rear-view mirror.
Cooking Class With the Chef
Our royal kitchen has always been a place of closely guarded knowledge—recipes handed down through generations, techniques that no cookbook quite captures. This private masterclass with our chef opens that kitchen up, one authentic Marwadi recipe at a time. Whether you are a confident cook or a curious one, you will leave with something worth bringing home.
Royal High Tea
The Rajput evening ritual of high tea was never a hurried affair—it was a moment to pause, gather, and savour. Held in the fragrant surrounds of the Champa Garden, this experience revives that tradition with the same unhurried grace it has always deserved. A spread of royal accompaniments, the scent of Champa trees overhead, and an afternoon that asks nothing of you except that you enjoy it.

Dine Under the Stars
Our Neem Garden after dark is a different place entirely—quieter, softer, and entirely romantic. A private dinner for 2, set beneath an open Rajasthani sky with the palace walls glowing around you. No grand occasion required—just good food, the right company, and a setting that does everything else.
Sundowners at the Aravalli Chhatri
There is a particular quality to the light over the Aravalli hills as the sun goes down—warm, unhurried, and entirely impossible to replicate. The Chhatri terrace puts you right in the middle of it, drink in hand, with nothing between you and the horizon. The kind of sundowner that makes every other sundowner feel ordinary by comparison.

Vintage Car Ride Around Gogunda
Some journeys are best taken slowly—and in style. Climb into one of the palace's vintage cars and let Gogunda unfold at its own pace, past ochre walls, village lanes, and landscapes that have changed very little since the Rajputs rode through them on horseback. A short ride that leaves a longer impression.
Pottery
A short distance from the palace, a local potter works the same clay, with the same hands, in the same way his family always has. This visit offers a chance to slow down, watch a craft that predates the palace itself, and try your hand at the wheel under gentle guidance. The kind of morning that reminds you what making something with your hands actually feels like.

Visit Lake Ranelav Sagar
4 km from our palace, Lake Ranelav Sagar sits quietly in the Rajasthani landscape—unhurried, beautiful, and entirely worth the journey. Walk, cycle, or drive—the choice is yours, and each one offers a different way of arriving. A gentle outing that pairs well with an early morning or a slow afternoon.
Jeep Safari
The Aravalli Hills have been watching over Gogunda for centuries—and this 2-hour, 20-kilometre safari puts you right in the middle of them. Climb to the closest hilltop and take in sweeping views of the Aravalli range and the city of Udaipur spread out below. The kind of perspective that makes everything else feel a little smaller, in the best possible way.

Myrah Ki Gufah & Raj Tilak Sthal
This is where history stops being something you read about and becomes something you stand inside. The hidden caves of Myrah ki Gufa were Maharana Pratap's secret arsenal—where weapons were stored, and war strategies were drawn up against the Mughal invaders. This 2-hour visit also takes you to the site of the Maharana's public coronation, the very ground where one of Rajputana's greatest rulers was proclaimed king. For those who want to understand Gogunda beyond its palace walls, this is where that understanding deepens.
